A few MONTHS ago, I walked into our closet and discovered something quite unpleasant to my senses. I quickly knew without a doubt where the "foulness" was coming from. "My sweet husband, i love you, but your SHOES are rancid", I confessed to him. "Its high time we get you some new ones." Its not easy finding shoes for wes. his feet are pretty large; and wide, at that. By the way, I've found that in big people sizes there are ususally the most peculiar colors and styles available to the consumer. more particularly in shirts.(Brands such as roca wear, phat farm, sean john, tommy bahama, G-unit, Ecco, Pepe, and many more) (Colors consisting of tied dye, outlandish fabrics, neons and other fluorescent nonsense ) dont ask me why. Back to the shoes... So when we finally found the winning pair,(after a long and tiresome search) I quickly nick-named them "Wes's special shoes", and also, "old-man shoes". Because that is precisely what they were. Wes wasn't offended of course because he was on top of the world in his new shoes that were ever so comfortable. And THAT was all that mattered.

TODAY, we were at the Y, where we've been committed goers for the past few weeks. (pat on the back). I noticed an older gentlemen, much older actually, perhaps 60+, walking around the indoor track. I INSTANTLY noticed that he AND my dear Wes shared very similar FOOTGEAR. I did a quick double take, and they were indeed IDENTICAL. I jumped off the machine I was using, and headed over to Wes's treadmill LICKETY-SPLIT. I tapped him on his sweaty shoulder and said "Wes, there is an older chap coming this-a-way, I want you to pay particualar attention to his
SHOES. As the man got closer, wes noticed that the gentlemen had the very SAME specical shoes !! He then looked at me, realizing I was teasing him; shot a quick grin, smirked, and then said "shut up." I hadnt laughed that hard in quite a while. Here are THEIR

THEY REALLY DO SCREAM "GERIATRICS"!! no offense if anybody else has these shoes!

Ashley you are so cute and I miss you and your upbeat, fun personality! I'm glad things are going better for you and Wes. I honestly mean to bake you some chocolate chip cookies and mail them your way b/c you mentioned something about them in one of your previous posts...I can't even quite remember, but it was something about how you love them. Anyway, I have been busy and haven't done it, but maybe you'll get lucky and I'll get by act together and send some treats your way! If I don't, sorry, but know I at least had the thought and intension of doing it and we pray for you guys!

That is too funny! You should try that store "Casual Male" for shoes and clothes. My friend at work shops there for her husband who is super tall and has HUGE feet. You could check out their website and see if they have stores out there. Of course then we wouldn't have these funny stories!!!
Sweet shoes...I should get me some of those! And good job going to the gym! I use to love working out and now I just can't find the motivation.
