Monday was my 24th Birthday and It was great!!! I had not even felt old. UNTIL, that is, I found this antique of a picture that was taken SEVEN whoppin' years ago... my seventeenth birthday. Which was spent with my beau and high school sweet heart, now husband, Wes :) Alot happens in seven years right?? I feel... well, alot of things... older being one of those things, not as skinny-ish' (which is ok. i can live with that), a little more 'mommish' (whatever that means), and perhaps a little more tired, BUT mostly GRATEFUL. here's why: Instead of the roses, treats and balloons Wes showered me with when we were 17(which yes, was sweet)... seven years later, he STILL loves me, and blessed me with this beautiful little munchkin that's now in our lives !! I wouldn't trade it for anything. Not even the wrinkles or... the stretch marks :)I wanted to go to OMAHA, which is an hour away... MY NEW MOST FAVORITE PLACE!! We had a great time sauntering around the quaint little streets of downtown omaha. It's a great place to shop(or in our case, window shop) the boutiques and stores, eat, and have FUN!
Wes's buddy told him about the place we ate at for supper. This was a place that was an old factory and they turned the building into a great little restaurant. we LOVED it, and will definitely be going back soon!!
We finished off the day "wright" by enjoying some of the finest ICE CREAM in town... "ted and wally's" HOMEMADE ice cream! it was so fun. they have different flavors every day, and they make the ice cream right where you can watch. Wes snapped this awesome pic while I was stuffing my face with deliciousness... !oh, and just look at our daughter... notice that i got stuck with the small sample spoon while she knows what's up and got the real deal of a spoon. love it.
what a neat day. I liked being 17, but I love being 24!!thanks wes, paizers, and our families and friends who thought of me on my birthday!
