a smooth sunday

Let me start by saying that as much as I do love church with a 20 month old, I almost always, well, dread it
:( climbing up and over the pews, spilling cheerios, not sitting still, and putting stickers in the old womans hair sitting in front of us are just a few of the "usuals" we experience during church.
HOWEVER, TODAY must've been a turning point for us(or maybe just luck.) Paisley was UNUSUALLY reverent today at least during sacrament mtg. ). She folded her arms twice, looked at a book, and didn't try to run away! And Wes wasn't even here to see it! (he's driving back to NE today; see you soon babe! )
I think it was one SMOOTH SUNDAY AND I JUST HAD TO SHARE :)

so.... how do YOUR sundays go???

personally, I'm jealous. We're not at the nursery stage yet and Brody is a crazy man at church. I had a lady actually say to me, "Man, I'm glad my kids aren't like that!" lol

Church hasn't been very fun since having a kid- I haven't heard a lesson in 16months... sad.

Don't you just love it. Glad she did so well. Those are the days we are so grateful for.

I have a soft spot in my heart for loud kids during church! Well maybe it is b/c I have one.
We try every week to sit in the chapel...but EVERY week with out fail Grace ends up needing to go out! Last week I was determined to stay in, but then when I tried to get her to sit quietly she started screaming at the top of her lungs...for like 10 whole secs! That was the end. PLUS this old man always turns around and goes "shhhh" to her with his fingure on his lips...if that isn't a hint I don't know what is!

I can't believe how big she is! She isn't a little baby anymore, she is so grown up! Crazy. I feel so bad for moms in church when you can tell that they so desperately want to listen and stay in but their kids are restless. These are the Sundays I begin to dread. Hopefully she stays this good...at least one more time for Wes to see. (isn't that always the case that the boys miss the most impressive things that are somewhat unbelievable that they happened) :)

I hear ya Ashley! Kambri is up and down the pew giving everyone high fives and "bones". Then she thinks it's fun to go play with everyone elses kids. And she just figured out what the drinking fountain is so every chance she gets to escape, that's where she goes. Someday it will feel like church again.... :)

Haha i know your feeling.. Our sundays are very much the same.. Right when we sit down tatum starts trying to run away and likes to slap her hands on the chairs.. Then when bread comes around and we give her a piece she always yells out more, more. Hah than by that time its time to take her out and have her sit in the hall with us!

What a doll! I am so sorry we missed you tonight. I am so going to miss you when you go back to Nebraska, but they will be lucky to have you back. Travel safe.

We just figured that rather than teaching our kids to be reverent, we'd just move into a ward with 200 other noisy, restless, crying, whiny, toy-steelers. Nobody notices ours because they're busy wrestling their own.

Oh I know. My little boy is 14 months and completly crazy!!! I use to love sacrament meeting and now it is quite dreadful. He is pretty much just like paisley. But gotta love it all at the same time!! There has to be a solution on controlling our kids and keeping them quite. Maybe that is just wishfull thinking.

We are 4 months away from nursery and I am counting down the sundays, right now my sundays are spent in the hallways for the last two hours and most of sacrament.... I never thought I'd miss Relief Society so much!
