Life's Yucky stuff

1st gross thing- Ever since we moved into our apt, Wes and I kept commenting to each other how slow our bathroom sink drain is. (It totally fills up to the top when youre simple brushing youre teeth or washing your face... annoying) Well yesterday when we were both in there brushing our teeth, I was like "That's it, I've had it!" So i was fiddling with the drain and all of a sudden I pulled the whole thing OUT! And along with the drain was a compilation of all the hair of every single person thats lived here , since, well, ever probably!!!! Wes simply replied "Well Ash, I think you solved the problem! ta da !!! And now our sink works great- hooray! BUt it was disgusting!
2nd stinky thing- OUr toilet has smelled since we moved in - ive scrubbed it and scrubbed it and scrubbed it some more- why the "crap" (no pun intended) does it still not smell clean. I bought a little deodorizer today so we'll see if that works, but does anybody have any reccomendations?

Ours did for awhile too for some reason...we ended up getting new ones. But, Ryan poured bleach down the toilet. That seemed to do the trick. I'll ask him later (since it's 2am right now!) if there is anything else you should do.

We live in an Apartment and ours has done the same thing. I have no idea why and it is so nasty. It is so embarrassing when someone comes over and we have to explain to them that the smell is from the toilet and not from us going . . well you know !

I use straight bleach. Ya, it's probably not good for us to be breathing in all the time, but I'd rather smell that than residue left over from past renters. Believe me, I know where you're coming from. This renting stuff is no bueno.

Okay that is so gross! I would try to pour bleach (the whole bottle maybe) in the toilet and let it sit for a while and then scrub and flush. Good luck!

Hi, this is Neal Thornton. I am a plumber. consider that the smell may be coming from under the toilet. is the wax ring leaking and creating a musty smell? check it out :)p.s. my mom is a lurker.
