we made it. we really made it!!

We've had a busy month. Busy BUSY!! We moved 2 weeks ago. It's been a blur- Wes's mom flew out and got our girls and took them back to AZ (which was amazing of her to do for us). We really appreciated that! And Wes drove the Penske truck and I followed in our Camry. I can't believe I drove that far ! Two days later, we made it to Mesa! I still feel like we are on vacation, staying in someone else's nice home, and soon we will just head back to NE. It's so strange that we are here to stay. We are so excited. Wes started his job this week and we've just been settling in! OH ya, and there was CHRISTMAS in the middle of all of it! We had a great Christmas. Surrounded by our family and loved ones; so wonderful.

We had a great Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful for all of my blessings!! Thanksgiving day was beautiful. Absolutely perfect weather. We played outside and let the girls run ;) We found some pine cones and climbed some trees... ("we", means the girls btw.) :)

*Paisley saying "mom lets make a snow glow..." She meant "snow cone" :) She's thrilled you can make "sno glows" and eat them all day. However, after finding some rocks and sticks in the her "snow glow" cup, I had to put an end to her fun.

We had so much fun at Paisleys Party! They played, took silly pictures, opened presents, had lunch, cake, played pin the tail on the donkey and did a bean bag toss :) Paisley was so happy that her buddies could be there! Love you all !!! And HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY SISSY! That night, our family went to Village Inn for Free Slice Wednesday :) GREAT pie :), and it happened to be her birthday so it was wonderful. Love you Paisley!!

I can't believe my baby is four! Paisley is such a joy to have in our family. To say she is "one of a kind" is truly an understatement. I love her ZEST for life. She is the life of the party. She is sassy and has been from day 1. She is independent. She is funny. She is happy! She is stubborn. She is wonderful. I pray that these qualities will serve her well in life. Speaking of life, SHE LOVES LIFE. She's a great example to me of how to live and LOVE life. She gets her great personality and attitude from her sweet daddy. I love her dearly and feel beyond blessed to be her mother. I seriously cry when I think about her growing up! I often wish time could stand still . I love you sweet Paizers! HAPPY FOURTH BIRHTDAY!

We were so lucky to have my mom here during the week of HALLOWEEN!! It was the greatest time ever. We felt so lucky to have her for a whole week. We love her so much and really enjoyed her company. We carved pumpkins, drank hot chocolate, watched scary movies and Christmas movies, made pumpkin bread, played in the SNOW!, told silly spooky stories to the girls, and went to antique stores!! Mom, I wish I could say that you should come out again, but uh, we're moving back home in 4 weeks!! WOWZA!!!

YEAH, it was like 60 degrees all week, {PERFECT!}and the last day mom was here, it SNOWED AND WAS SOOOO COLD! haha. We think that was actually our favorite day. Staying in our jammies and playing outside! Love you MOM. THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING!

We ate at Bread and cup... so so YUMMY! {thanks suzanne for telling us about it!}

Halloween was Happy indeed.

I'm pretty sure our girls got dressed up in their costumes about 1000 times. We did Boo at the Zoo, Trick or Treat at the Law School, Church Trunk or Treat, Regular Trick or Treating, and I'm sure just wearing them for fun from time to time. Paisley's costume was ripped from wear and tear before Halloween even came! Oh well :) We were so LUCKY to have my mom "NANA" come out for a week !!! We so enjoyed spending time with her! It was a vacation for us!!! She got to join in all of the festivities. We're pretty sure she enjoyed it too :) Thanks for coming MOm :) I'll do a seperate post for just pics of us with her!

Halloween is T-H-E B-E-S-T in NEBRASKAAAAA~~ Fall is hands down GORGEOUS here :) My favorite time of year. We love the streets here for Trick or Treating. They're straight out of a storybook. We may be coming back each year to trick or treat on the same street as always. Kind of sad this is our last one living here. WEIRD. Anyway, we had a blast with friends and watching the kids love halloween. One for the books I think.

We were able to visit Roca Berry Pumpkin patch... one.final.time. I can't believe that this Fall is our last one in Nebraska. I'm sure we'll come back to visit during the fall. It's just strange that we are almost done in NE. I have really mixed feelings about leaving. I'm so sad to leave friends, and the weather MINUS the winter :) We've truly been blessed.

DISNEYLAND TWENTY ELEVEN!!!!!
We were able to go to Disneyland with the Wrights last week! It is always the greatest time ever. We've been looking forward to this trip for MONTHS! I feel so lucky to be a part of this family. They are wonderful. We were so happy to see Ben and Rae and their kids. We don't get to see them very much, so we loved our time with cousins! We did miss S+S, Aubs and Chad, and Gart and Jack :(

Paisley had such a great time. She's a great age for Disneyland(what's NOT a good age though right?) She was tall enough this year for some of the bigger rides. It was priceless watching her face !

And Charlotte, was amazing. She was looking at everything all wide eyed taking it all in. She was a dream and slept in her stroller to take naps and let everyone carry her around and spoil her.

I'M SO SAD because I OBVIOUSLY didn't get enough pictures... (just kidding)

I can't believe how quickly september went ! Is it really over?? So many things have happened, the days are beginning to run together...

Paisley had her first Field Trip to Martin's Hillside Orchard... She has never been so EXCITED! I was supposed to go, but wasn't able to... keep reading and you'll find out why-

Anyway, she had a total BLAST with her buddies and I'm so glad she could go. Oh and she's still really confused as to why there were no seat belts on the bus :)

Here she is TOTALLY SHOVING HER WAY OFF THE BUS. haha

Paisley in front of her "loof-ren" / Lutheran School. WE love it :) the teachers assistant drew a picture of Paisley and it looked just like her :) I had to take a picture-plus, Grandma Tina said she wanted a picture of Paisley in front of her school :) Here you go sweet Gramma :)

So Charlotte is an ER "junkie"... second time in a month to the ER. She has Pneumonia again...(which is why Icouldn't go on the field trip. We're learning that she has asthma, and it is triggered any time she gets a cold or virus. This leads to her not being able to breathe, and its AWFUL. When she gets to the ER, they give her a steroid and it helps. Wes can empathize, because he grew up doing the exact same thing. She's doing so much better though and we just LOVE her to pieces. Here she is squawking at the fridge to let us know she's hungry. :)

Every year I like to take Early Halloween pictures because the day of Halloween is always crazy and I feel like I never get any pictures. AND, I like to send some to the Grandma's so they can enjoy them the month of Oct :) Im weird like that, I know :) So here's us attempting to get a picture... good luck right??...

However, we managed to get a few :) HAPPY FALL :)

I think we've experienced every emotion this week. Life just gets crazy for all of us. And sickness happens to all of us too.

Charlotte has had a rough couple of weeks- she's just been wheezing and coughing. Finally after a week of NOBODY sleeping, I took her in. Long story short, we ended up in the HOSPITAL... turns out she had PNEUMONIA....WHAT???!!! so stinkin scary I could SCREAM. NO one likes the hospital. Especially not our family. She was there for 2 days bless her heart. She was such a trooper. Every nurse that came in was just like "how can she have pneumonia?, she's so beautiful and smiley"... yadda yadda ya. I KNOW , she tricks us. She never gets a fever or acts sick, but really she could be dying and we wouldn't know it.

Got RELEASED from the hospital and on antibiotics. Life has been returning to normal. We were supposed to go visit friends in KEARNY and couldn't go because of our scare with Sugar. Fortunately, she's continuing to get better. I'm so grateful for that.

She was acting and breathing so good that I took the girls to the FARMERS MARKET yesterday... it was A DREAM. We didn't stay too long, but it was nice to get out for a minute.

THE Farmers Market is truly my favorite. I love everything about it- I might cry because this is our last FALL here; and FALL IS THE BEST IN LINCOLN. (my favorite part of NE.)

Anyway, I thought these pictures were pretty cute. The girls were having so much fun together. I love when they are best friends, which is most of the time.

DON'T THEY LOOK SO HAPPY AND "NOT SICK" in these pictures? I know, I think so too. WELL.... for whatever reason, Paisley STARTED THROWING UP LATE LAST NIGHT AND HASN'T STOPPED SINCE. I feel so bad for her. And... Wes is out of town :( So we are home from church and Paisley is finally asleep for the first time since midnight :( I've been washing sheets and jammies and towels since midnight too.... oh the joys :) i'm too scared to take a nap in fear that Paisley will throw up again and I won't be there to catch it in time :( So, I blog....

Why do we have the flu and pnemonia in the SUMMER???? so weird. I always associated that with winter yuckies.

As Im posting these pictures I just noticed the sign below the water tower... NO WADING... oops. Paisley truly was chilling, feet in the water as I was taking this picture of Sugar. I'm so observant sometimes.

I love GAME DAY in Nebraska. There's such an excitement that you can almost TASTE! Everything and everywhere is "GO BIG RED" I love that this little restaurant on the corner wrote GO BIG RED on their chalkboard outside.

We got some fresh flowers... they're so pretty. I let the girls pick them out. Well, Paisley picked one and I assume Sugar wanted the one she was trying to eat :)

We even saw our friends there! Paisley spotted Sydney right away! They are so cute and funny together :) 2 peas in a pod. love little Sydney.

Well there's our weeks adventure right there. Hope nobody else gets sick. I just want to chill at home for a while and get the sicky's ALL OUT of our system.

.... BIEBER FEVER.

Today Paisley dressed herself- - skinny jeans and a long sleeve shirt/hoodie. Don't worry, it was 100 degrees today and HUMID. But she can wear fall clothes if it makes her happy.

After getting dressed, she came out with the hood on her head and said "yeah, im justin BEAVER"...{bieber :) } I almost LOST it!!! It's stuff like this that just makes mY DAY!! My little Justin BEAVER :)

Other funny things Paisley has said this week :
I asked Paisley what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said "a pillow pet"
We walked in to preschool and Paisley said to her teacher " Miss Connie, I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!"

And then there's Sugar. Brown sugar. I can't believe how much she's changed in the last little while. I'm always amazed at how my babies don't stay BABIES for long.
Charlotte is funny. She likes to play with Paisley and does a good job at keeping up with her. She loves to play with the dollhouse and babies. She loves Elmo too :)**I think my heart might BURST ! I love these girls SO so so much. *****
I really hope they stay b.f.f !!

I love having a Zoo Membership ! Yesterday we went to the Children's Museum and they were CLOSED ... apparently they close on Mondays when school starts. Lame. So Paisley was distraught and cried all the way back to the car. She asked if we could go to the Z00 and I said SURE! It was fun going on a whim; I didn't have a stroller or anything. We just went and the girls loved it! We had so much fun. These girls are my sunshine. I love them so MUCH!!! It's fun watching them learn and grow. Paisley loves the animals and Charlotte just WATCHES and LOOKS at everything. I wish they could stay perfect and little forever :)

I love this last one- it looks like she took it of herself and is going to post it as her profile pic on facebook :)

I finally downloaded all eight hundred and forty six pictures from our summer... and I just wanted to share :)

We loved Arizona and it's our home at heart. However, we've actually grown to love Lincoln and are happy to have our home here too :) Since we've been back, Wes started his LAST "first day" of school... ever. YAY. I'm so happy for him , and ... "me".

Paisley also started school. It's awesome and she loves it. My favorite story about taking her to school that day goes like this:

I take Paisley to class, make sure she's settled, give her a kiss and wave goodbye.(tear) I round the corner and have to turn back to watch and listen for a minute.

The teacher asks Paisley how to spell her name and Paisley tells her correctly! yay (gold star)

THen the teacher asks if Paisley would like to paint with the rest of the class. Paisley's response was "No thank you. Im just going to take a look around the class." Then the teacher laughed and said "OH, ok, well I'll let you do that for today." awe-some.

summer update

It's been a quick summer. We've been busy- we've loved being with family. We treasure them to say the least.

We are lucky to have them in our lives. We spend all our time with them because we've missed them for the last

3 years! We loved spending time with Rae and her kids when they were here from UTAH! We are sad theyre gone now :( We are heading back to Nebraska. We are excited to be back to the little place we've made our "new home". We feel lucky to have friends there that have become our family. We've MISSED them this summer.

ANYWAY------

Here are all the GREAT grand kids at mommy mays 81st Birthday Party! We love you sweet mommy may! I can't believe how much our family has G-R-O-W-N! IT's so much fun!

Update on Sweetest SUGAR- She's been running around the house; totally in to everything. I love it. She loves to look at books. She's so happy- except when she's teething. (which has been a sad thing for us!!) She still wakes up during the night :( We're working on that! She waves bye bye. She loves dogs :), and says "dog" about everything. She likes watching yo gabba gabba. She gets dragged and carried around by her big sister. She loves strawberries! She likes to pull clothes out of her dresser. She still loves her binky. She loves her mama :) She is so funny. She's gotten really tan since we've been in az. People always comment on her sweet baby tan! Charlotte is such a w0nderful girl and we are beyond blessed to have her!

UPdate on Crazy Paisley- Well, Paisley IS crazy! This picture just about says it all. She is S-A-S-S-Y! And we wouldn't change it for anything. We love her spunk! She will be FOUR in Nov. I can hardly believe it. She's changing so much. I love watching her learn new things. She is bright, inquisitive, free spirited, and wonderful. She has been giving us a RUN for our money though. She's just so busy that it's hard to keep up with her at times. This summer she has learned how to swim and we're really proud of her. She has loved coloring and drawing. She's really good at staying in the lines now ;) She's really proud of that! (and so are we !) She loves hanging out with her aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents! She's excited to start preschool this fall :) And we excited TOO! Paisley is sunshine everywhere she goes. WE love her beyond measure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUGAR...

Last Sunday Sugar turned O-N-E! We can't believe it's been a whole YEAR. I love thinking about where we were a year ago. So much has happened and yet it has flown by. We are BEYOND blessed to have Charlotte in our family. She is such a HAPPY SUNSHINE BABY!!! She is so beautiful and sweet. HOWEVER, she's learning to be feisty... she has to hold her own with Paisley. Sugar started walking a few days before her birthday, and she now says D-0-G. It's so great to see her learning and growing. I just wish it could all slow down and not happen so fast! WE LOVE THIS GIRL!

It was so great to be in AZ for her birthday. We were able to celebrate with the Wrights and the Farnsworths :) DOUBLE CAKE!!!

A busy summer!

I can hardly believe we have been in Arizona for over 2 months! We have been B-U-S-Y! Wes has been working hard at his clerking job, and the girls and I have been busy doing what we do. --------------------------Swim lessons, dance workshop, laundry, preschool, and all that wonderful stuff! We've been so lucky to be around our awesome family. The girls have enjoyed cousins and play dates and a couple vacations!

We just got back from mission beach with my family... We miss the BEACH! I'm convinced I need to live by the ocean. It's part of me :) Thanks Momma and Dad for the trip! We love you!

I've been bad at posting pictures from our summer, BUT here are a few from the trip last week.

Like I said, we have LOVED being here in AZ with family, but we have MISSED our friends and home in Nebraska. Love you guys! You know who you are :)

Sun+ Shine= Arizona

We've now been in AZ for a month! I can hardly believe how quickly time is going. We made the 21 hour drive from Lincoln. As we were leaving, Wes and I wondered if driving was the best idea. It came as a surprise to us that the girls were PHENOMENAL travelers. We split the trip into 2 days. We made our road trip into a fun weekend and stayed at a nice Hotel, went shopping and swimming and had dinner. The girls loved it!

We were so excited to finally make it here. It warms my heart to see the mountains and family again. We are so blessed to be here :)

So much has happened and I will post some pictures as soon as I decide to stop being lazy!

Easter was really special...

We had a fun morning with the girls. It's fun when they start understanding the fun things like "the easter bunny" & (the easter PIG... "a tradition in Wes's home growing up) I, (eh hem, the easter bunny & his wife, the easter Pig),left a trail of easter eggs in Paisley's room that led out to the girls Easter baskets. Paisley woke up early that morning and ran in our room carrying the eggs and was so EGGCITED!! {I couldn't resist.} So we had her follow the eggs to the easter baskets. Acutally, since both Grandparents sent them easter goodies, it was more like Christmas Day!!! We are so lucky that they are so generous to us living away from home :)

What is even MORE fun, is when your kids start to understand, (or at least try) the reason for special Holidays. That Easter morning at breakfast, Wes and I talked to Paisley a little bit about the Atonement. It was a sweet moment for us to see Paisley's perfect mind and heart, think about Jesus and what He has done for us.

Later that day in Primary, they of course were talking about the Atonement. Paisley excitedly raised her hand and said "YEAH, MY DAD TOLD ME ABOUT THAT". It truly brings us joy and happiness to experience tender moments with our children. I think her Dad, and Heavenly Father were both happy. I'm so grateful to remember why we have Easter and for what it means to me.

Dear Charlotte,
I held you in my tummy for 9 long months. It was great, but it felt like a LONG TIME. How is it that you are now 9 months old??? (Same number of months, but these have ZOOMED BY!) You're growing up literally before my eyes. I'm not sure how I feel about it either! I want you to stay little forever. I love your innocence. I love your spirit. I love that when I look at you, I see Heavenly Father's love. I know you remember Heaven; And it reminds me of my special calling as your mother. I am overwhelmed by my love for you- We are just so lucky to have you in our family! I can't believe you are 9 months old :)

Wes's brother JACK just received his MISSION CALL TO SAO PAULO BRAZIL!! WOO HOOO!!!!

WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR HIM... He's going to be an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G missionary! We are proud of him and love him SO much! They are so lucky to be getting Jack! I mean, SERIOUSLY.

We also have Wes's brother GART on his mission right now in GUADALAJARA MEXICO- -

Paisley pronounces it the cutest ever- "gwad a harla" Gart is doing so awesome! We are so proud of him too. Ps. Does everyone remember that GART is the REASON WES AND I MET???!!!... That's a real good story, remind me to tell it to you if you don't know it :) Gart is just so great!

And SPECIAL LITTLE SHOUT OUT for my youngest brother Cameron... serving in the PHILIPPINES BACOLOD mission... HE'S BEEN OUT ONE YEAR THIS WEEK!!!!!! I can't believe it! I'm sure my mom and dad have truly felt every SECOND that he's been out! They sure miss him, as we all do! I'm 6 years older than Cameron, but the older we've gotten, the closer we have become. I MISS THIS KID!!!!!!!!!! We love reading his emails and his truly inspiring words. He's loving life! In lieu of his ONE YEAR MARK, we took some pictures by something that reminds me TOTALLY of HIM!!! Anyone that knows my brother, will understand :) It's just SO Cameron. haha

I have no idea how we pulled this off, but WE DID!!!! We went to Chicago... I can't believe it!!! We did & SAW SO MUCH while we were there, it was AMAZING. "The windy city" is my new FAVORITE city!!!

Spring Break was awesome, but it's now over :( Wes, the girls and I had a relaxing week for the most part. It was so great to have Wes around a little more often than we are used to. (Of course he still did study at school some days, but we had him quite a bit!) Thanks WES! One night we even had a special little family dinner, with candles and sparkling water (Wes's favorite) :) IT was fun to do things a little different than we usually do.

This weekend we went downtown and had lunch with friends and then went to the Childrens Museum, Paisley's favorite. We had such a fun time as a family- and then we had fun being silly and taking pictures together; so I posted those too just for fun!

Then today... dun dun dun

I ran in a little race here in Lincoln. It was my first 5K ever, and I was pleased with how I did. When I started up running in January and I couldn't run longer than 5 minutes!!!! So this was my first big goal with running. OH and today it was 30 DEGREES AND SNOWING during the race!! haha. {of all days, right?!} I was so EXCITED to see my friend Brooke there with her kids cheering me on :) Brooke is my buddy who got me into running!! She's really great. And then, my sweet little family saying "GO MOMMY" at the finish line!!! I thought I would cry, but maybe I'll save that for when I do something like a full MARATHON haha. Anyway, slow and steady wins the race (at least in my book!!)

ps. I'm well aware that I look like a boy with my beanie on, or maybe it's not the beanie after all. oh well!

A couple weeks ago I got to visit AZ for a special reason :) MY brother and his sweet wife had their baby... ANDILYN. And the girls and I got to go see them!! It was honestly the best trip ever. I loved seeing my little niece and loving on her; she's so gorgeous. She has my sister in laws lips and my brothers hair!! I'm so proud of them; theyre doing a great job!!! They have a beautiful little family and I love them dearly. I miss THEM obviously a lot!

Meet...
OUR DANCING QUEEN...

Paisley has been L-O-V-I-N-G her dance class. It's such a riot to watch her. The room is alluminated with her sass.

Charlotte turned EIGHT months this week. It's so hard for me to believe. I feel like she is growing every day. She's now crawling all over our apartment :) She's the HAPPIEST baby on EARTH... I love her SO much. I'm pretty sure she's a momma's girl. She will smile at ANYTHING and ANYONE though! How could you not LOVE this face?? She's a very special part of our family.

I love these girls. It amazes me just how different they are!!! They're so wonderful :)

SISTERS !!! I love these two in the bath together! They are SO funny!

Wes and I made it.... WE'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR FIVE YEARS!!!!... FIVE! It's hard for me to believe how quickly that time has flown. It feels like just yesterday that he asked me to marry him- - - I'm such a lucky girl to have him. He's really the GREATEST!!! There's a lady who knows Wes well, and she told me, shortly after we were married, "Ashley, you will have a happy life being married to Wes Wright." I couldn't agree more. Wes makes me smile and laugh every day of my life. I'm so lucky I get him forever :)
PS. the song playing right now is the GREATEST love song ever. (oh ya, it's in Portuguese) It reminds me of when Wes and I went to BRAZIL shortly after we were married.
THANKS WES FOR MAKING ME THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD. :)

I just wanted to write a few things down from this week so I don't forget them...

{I'm not the best at writing in my journal, but for some reason blogging is more fun for me so I will share it here.}

*Paisley has a pretend dog named Sally.

*Charlotte's 2 bottom teeth came through, just a couple days before she turned 7 months. {Feb.17th}. And she just looks A-DORABLE with those 2 little pearly whites.

*Paisley told her first BIG lie to me this week. She came to me with bits of plastic pieces in her hands and said "MOM, WHY did you break this?" I raised my eyebrows and said, "Paisley, Mommy didn't touch that. How could I have broken it?" She kept saying that she didn't do it and that it was me. I told her that we need to tell the truth, even if that means we could get in trouble. And that we would get in MORE trouble if we DON'T tell the truth.

She then said, "I'm sorry Mom, it was me." "But, let's hide this so dad doesn't see it, ok ?" I said Paisley, why do you want to hide it from dad, and she said "because I'll get a spankin!"

haha. Anyway, good teaching moment I guess. And she is just so hilarious I can't help but love her even when she's fibbin to me!

*I always check on the girls one last time before I go to bed. I love how peaceful and beautiful they look. Charlotte on her tummy with that sweet ever so squishy bum in the air.

And Paisley, 2 blankets draped over her little body. The purple quilted one that was mine when I was little , and then her rag quilt on top of that. Owl next to her, and her pillow pet placed just so perfectly over her legs. Her drink of water and a tissue folded in half on a stool next to her bed. The girl has such a stringent schedule for bed time. We even have to stand in a certain place in her room when we say good night, and close the door just right, giving a "THUMBS UP" to her as we leave. She's perfectly Paisley and we love that.

*I love how sweet Charlotte looked at church this week. In her little pink tutu and her silly bow that she always pulls over her eyes. Speaking of her eyes, they just light up the room!!! She's just beautiful. {if you look real close, you can see the 2 bottom chompers}

I peeked in to Primary this week and just watched Paisley's face. She absolutely loves it and is eager to learn. This made me smile. Man, is she growing up.

I love Charlotte's BIG old smile. She's so happy and she spreads cheer through our home.

I love watching Wes help Paisley finish her dinner. He talks to her about her day and asks her how she's doing. I hope she can be as great of a person as her daddy is. He's so great with both of our girls.

I'm excited as I watch Charlotte attempt to crawl. I love how Paisley cheers her on and says "come on little sugar, you can do it!!"

Paisley loves to HELP. So, like any smart mom would do, I put her to work!! Dishes, and vacuuming. She loves it. And so do I!! {Plus, it helps her to earn pom poms for her good girl jar}

Paisley's favorite movie is Mama Mia, and her favorite song ..."Dancing Queen",

and "what's my name" by Rhianna... (don't judge)

I recently read this book, and it's helping me change the way I look at things. It's a great book...

These are just some things from my week that I wanted to always remember. What a blessed life I have.

As for other news...
NEBRASKA IS bitterly COLD.
Yesterday the HI was SIX DEGREES, and the WIND CHILL made it -26.

I realized we hadn't gotten out to do ANYTHING when Paisley asked me
"Mom, are you making cookies AGAIN?" SAD, but true. I just bake and eat when it's cold and we can't get out. Day before that, I made a loaf of pumpkin bread and {no lie}, ate 3/4 of the loaf myself. I then MADE myself THROW IT AWAY before I finished it all. Yikes.

HOPE YOUR DAY IS WARMER THAN OURS!!!!!
{on a brighter note, the sun DID come out today!!}

In the thick of it...

Motherhood. Yes, I'm in the thick of it, or at least I feel as though I am. Along with it come the ups AND downs. Let's be honest.
Tantrums. Complete Mayhem. Sleep deprivation. Wrinkles and even a few gray hairs. (true). Tears. Chaos. Snotty nose. Crusted nose. Meltdowns. Pee. Poop. Spit up. Throw up. Need for Prayer. Struggles. Blessings. Good days. Bad days. Screaming toddler. Fussy Baby. Days without a shower. Diapers. Dishes. Laundry.

These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Motherhood. Some days are pretty. Others, well... not so much. It's not easy, and I'm not trying to be a downer. I often feel as though I need to step back and take a look at the big picture. This gives me perspective and helps me to be happy. At the end of the day I feel so grateful to have these babies and hope and pray that I can do my very best to teach them all about the "big picture." Because that is what's most important when all is said and done.

On to something else...

My friend Charise gave me this good idea and so I went with it.

I put a notepad on my counter just to jot down funny things that Paisley said during the day.

Here's a compilation from yesterday and today...

And seriously, I couldn't do this MOM thing without Wes. He's a better Mom AND Dad than I am a Mom... if that makes sense :) He's just awesome.

oh ya, and seeing Paisley putting on my deodorant this morning also makes it worth it...

Hope you all had splendid Holidays. We most certainly did. There's so much that has happened over the Christmas break. However, blogging every little picture we took simply overwhelms me right now so I'm going to have to pass. But here are some of my thoughts.

We enjoyed our family so much as we always do. They were so kind to let us move in for 6 weeks. It's so fun "coming home" for Christmas now that this is our third year living away. I love soaking up the HOME feeling. I've come to the conclusion that it's the people, the love, the laughter and the familiarity that fashions the good old "home-ey feeling". I just LOVE how some things never change. Grandma and Grandpa Gunnell's home and the smell and warmth of the fire they continuously have ablaze. My in-laws home where everyone gathers around the island in the kitchen or in the living room telling stories and laughing with each other. My parents home and the genuine love and care I can always count on, (along with the holiday treats in Nana's jar that sits on the counter under the cup cabinet). The smell of eggs at Christmas brunch at Mommy May and Papas. I have tender feelings about each of these homes, each unique and wonderful. I love home.

On another note, I'm grateful to say that it's also nice to come home to "our home". I now feel like Wes and I call Nebraska our "home". Our little apartment has been so good to us, along with all of the wonderful people we've met here. Paisley has practiacally been raised out here and Charlotte was born here. A lot has happened for us in a short time. We feel blessed and wouldn't trade our experiences for anything! It's hard to believe that this is our last year. I think I'm ok about the winter right now, because one, it just barely started snowing this week, and two- - -well, it's my last winter out here. That helps get me through when it's so freakishly cold and both my kids are screaming whenever we have to go outside! Today Paisley was trying to cry, but she couldn't catch her breath because of how gash darn cold the wind was. Ha! Well, it's late and I'm starting to ramble...

Anyway,
Happy freakin New Year. It's going to be a good one.

It's been a BIG week for Paizers...
We are POTTY TRAINING!! She is doing so great, and I've been really patient {if I do say so myself}.

I was beginning to think she would never be able to start school because she'd still be in diapers... she proved me wrong.

Sweet little Char-lar is FOUR months old!! I really can't belive it. She's so cute and we love her. Could she be any CHUBBIER!!?? Gah, I just LOVE it.

ha ha ha! Her tantrum was short lived, so that's the good news. Paisley is THREE!! I honestly cannot even believe it. We CELEBRATED WITH CAKE AND SOME FRIENDS! Paisley LOVED her Barbie cake and I was so happy because SHE was happy :)

All day she just could NOT WAIT for her friends to come over... She kept asking if it was time for her "cake party".

Sis was REALLLY excited... can you tell ??...

Paisley is 3 and WOW... where did the time go?? Let's be honest, some days are really LONG, but time truly has flown!! It seems like yesterday I was holding that sweet newborn baby in my arms, overwhelmed with gratitude, and thinking how lucky I was to have such a healthy perfect baby. She has since been a sunshine to us! Paisley has such a vibrant, fun and beautiful personality. She is her own unique little person and I love her for it! She keeps us smiling and laughing. I don't know what I'd do without her, she's such a great helper and friend. She's my little bff and I mean that! This sweet girl LOVES LIFE and is an example to me of living it to the FULLEST!! She MAKES OUR WORLD GO ROUND. My favorite thing to hear her say, that is something she made up all on her own, is "I LOVE YOU BIG MUCH MOM."

So right back at ya girl, I love YOU big much. And PLEASE... stop growing up so FAST.

A Not so SPOOKY post...

Halloween was so fun this year as you will see. Paisley was the cutest little COWGIRL, and Charlotte, the cutest Kitty :)

We had so much fun with friends at our wards Trunk or Treat- I got a kick out of Paisley taking it all in. She has been talking about witches ever since!! { She now calls me a mommy witch sometimes. Great.}

Nebraska is a fabulous place to be in the Fall... I love the leaves and the color. I wish it could last forever... but we will enjoy it while it lasts...

Pumpkins & Munchkins

I'm loving this time of year in NEBRASKA. Fall is wonderful here and we have enjoyed some of the fun things to do outside! We have been going to this pumpkin patch {Roca Berry Farms} for the last three years! WE LOVE having our own little traditions.

Paisley LOVES the pumpkins, popcorn, pony rides and HUGE slide. It's fun watching her run around and have so much fun. By the way, this girl is in LOVE with her daddy. Can't you tell?

And THIS wee girl... is a D-R-E-A-M. Seriously.

ps. I'm STOKED for Halloween. It's my favorite. I love candy and I'm not gonna lie, I WILL totally clean out ALL of Paisley's chocolate :) Don't tell.

That's wright, 19 !!!!We just got back from the GREATEST family trip ever. The WHOLE FAMILY was there, except for Garty who is on his mission. It was a great family reunion! We hadn't seen some of the family in almost a year and a half and ps... that's WAY too long!! Disneyland is truly done WRIGHT when we go!!

We loved everything about this trip. Paisley was even tall enough to go on SPLASH MOUNTAIN... and SOARIN OVER CALIFORNIA...! I have always loved DISNEYLAND, but it's even better now that we can watch our kids enjoy the magic :)

Paisley LOVED LOVED the princesses of course. She would spend all day chatting it up with Cinderella about Prince Charming if she could. Charlotte Rose was TROOPER OF THE TRIP! She's such a sweet baby and we loved watching the family goo and gah over her chubby-ness !!:) (it was the first time the siblings and cousins met charlotte.)FUN!!

We got to slow down for a bit when Paisley zonked out in the stroller. Wes and I enjoyed delicious apple fritters with Mom and Dad in New Orleans square. We truly LOVE spending time with them and think they are wonderful.

We have so many fun memories and as you can see, I had a hard time narrowing down my choice of pictures for this post. All I have to say is "the more the merrier!"

Paisley started a little preschool that some of our friends put together ...

and needless to say, she's pretty EXCITED about it!

Paisley also got her haircut AGAIN... she has twisted so much of her hair on one side that there's practically NOTHING left. So I did what I had to do and chopped it. I'm a hair stylist; I can't have her hair be uneven- kill me! I lose sleep over it! (not really, but kind of.) Good thing she looks so stinking CUTE no matter what! We also straightened it that night I cut it... Wes says no more flat iron! It makes her look too grown up!! I agree :) OH and do you like her poof??!! haha.

And "sugar" got her ears pierced...

and I think she LOVES it! {so do I!} She's so precious! When I went to get them pierced, of course Charlotte cried for a second... but Paisley was the one DEVASTATED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING!!! She was crying because the lady "hurt" her little sister!! Bless her heart it was so sad, but a little sweet that she was so concerned about Charlotte! It's all good now. And thanks Wes for not killing me because I didn't tell you that I was going to do it!! SURPRISE!! heehee !

Conference weekend was sweet... and we made some homemade cinnamon rolls to go with it!!

THE KIDS...AND AN UPDATE

Wes- Yes, Wes is also a kid. (He took the bus to school today, which in my book, classifies one as a kiddo.) Wes has been very busy with school; homework and studying constantly! The girls and I always love Wednesdays and Fridays because those are the days he gets home before 7:30! He is such a great dad! Even though he's gone all day, he is so good to help out and play with the girls when he can! I love the way he lights up when he walks through the door after a long day at school and Paisley runs to him and hugs him to death! Anyway, just wanted to share this HI-LARIOUS picture.

Paisley- let's just say she's DOUBLE TROUBLE!!! But, she has been so funny lately and is truly growing up fast. She is my BUSY, ACTIVE, FREE SPIRITED WILD CHILD that HAS to be kept busy! So I've made a big effort to get her INVOLVED this fall to keep us both sane ! We have somewhere to go every day! Some of the things she just LOVES are: Music Makers, church playgroup, and story with Miss Sue at the library. And Joy School and Gymnastics start next week!!!!

And Charlotte Rosy Rose... she's the QUEEN of cat naps!!! I lugg her around to all the activities, and she's just a peach about it! She sleeps ALOT in her carseat! Thank goodness for this sweet CHUBBY WUBBY BUBBY BUNDLE. (and OH is she CHUBBBBBBYYYY!!) She smiles A LOT and it's my FAVORITE! I'm excited for the day when she gets to do all the fun things her big sister is doing. But for now, I'm enjoying her as my sweet baby.

Last week was Charlotte's Blessing. We were SO VERY LUCKY to have my parents, and Wes's parents and sister Heidi here for the weekend! It was wonderful. We were spoiled in having them here and had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed their company !

Wes gave Charlotte a beautiful blessing. After the blessing, Paisley kept saying super loud "She GOT BLESSED!!!!!" It was so cute. Paisley, we love you. And Charlotte, we feel so grateful to have you in our family.

Yesterday, we took Wes to school. Since loading up BOTH girls in the car seems to be such a huge task, I try to run any other errands while we are OUT AND ABOUT. So, I decided to run to the grocery store. I realized once we got there that not only was Paisley still in her jammies and soggy diaper, but she didn't have shoes on. Oh well, I'll just put her in the grocery cart. Fat chance. She pitched a fit, and I gave in. So Paisley walked around the whole grocery store bare foot and had feet that were COMPLETELY BLACK by the time we got back to the car. As we were driving home I turned around to look at Paisley to find her LICKING THE BOTTOM OF HER FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sick. And now her face was black from the nasty-ness of her circle K feet!! I screamed with fright and said "Paisley what ARE you doing??!! STOP!!" She nonchalantly replied "Mom, I'm just cleaning my feet."

"Can't live with them, can't live WITHOUT THEM." I simply CANNOT.

To say today was a challenge would be the biggest understatement of my adult life. Without sharing the entirety of the story let me just paint a pretty little picture for ya . Wes walks in the door at 5:30 pm today (which is SUPER early for him.) I'm holding a crying Charlotte. Paisley has been whining about WHO knows what (and hasn't let up all day.) I just realized I haven't brushed my teeth or showered since yesterday, perhaps even the day before. With every notch the noise level rises, my half dead brain becomes that much more mushy. The crap literally hit the freakin fan. (Speaking of crap, how does it seem to get e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e with a newborn?) Anyway, this is when I just start to laugh... and then I too, start to CRY!!! So all three girls are crying. This all happened as Wes walked in the door. hahaha. Wow. Then I look at Wes and I know it's all going to be okay because he was here now and I was RESCUED!! I'm so lucky to have him when he is home. He's a great help. I almost lost my mind today! This adjustment period has not been a walk in the park for us. I went into this thinking that the second child would be easier all around. After all, I had done this before and how hard could it be?? Right. I'm getting it handed to me. And perhaps it's well deserved.

I thought to myself today (as I was covered in poop, not my own, for the second time today..."I'm not getting paid near enough. I need a raise!" What I'm saying is that being a mom is a full time job. It's the good the bad and the ugly at it's finest. I would be lying if I said I LOVED the part of motherhood that smells like poop, throw up and no shower. That being said, I couldn't live WITHOUT IT! I couldn't live without everything these two little beauty's bring to LIFE! I feel so blessed to be a mother, even if it IS the hardest thing sometimes.

I CELEBRATED my 25th birthday this week! I know it's not technically OLD but I feel like it's UP there. A quarter of a CENTURY is kind of a big deal :) Or so I think.

I was lucky enough to have a friend watch Paisley while Wes and I escaped to the mall to walk around, get a drink and cookie and talk. (kind of like when my mom would drop me and my friends off at fiesta mall and let us walk around for an hour when we were in the 8th grade. haha) It was great spending time with Wes because he starts school Monday and I know he will be gone alot!

For dinner that night we ate at The Olive Garden and had soup. It was perfect for that rainy day! Thanks to all my family and friends who thought of me on my birthday :)

What a great day. I feel so lucky.

Paisley made this card for me and Wes gave me these lovely flowers. Paisley still thinks that it was HER birthday all day. I was happy to share it with her :)

And then, there's CHARLOTTE... we can't get enough of her chubby cuteness!

After her bath this morning, she was just chillin. I thought it was just too cute. I love this little bundle!

Paisley was sick this week... she finally started to feel better today so I gave her a little pedicure and manicure. She sits so still to be sure she does not smudge the polish!! ...THE ONLY time she sits still!!!

She loves reading books too... especially with Dad!

It's happening...

I'm starting to emerge from my apartment... slowly but surely.

I'm starting to feel like a human again. Well, a sleep deprived human. At least I'm managing to get showered almost every day. This is great news. I can't believe it's

been a month since we brought sweet Charlotte home! Things are getting more normal around here.

I was starting to wonder if they would!

Our WHOLE family went to church today! I spent a lot of it in the mothers lounge, but I was so

happy to be there. I missed my Primary class {and I hope they missed me too!}

We're all doing great and Wes is excited to start school next week. Wes has been a great help

around here and we're going to miss him! Good luck Wes! WE LOVE YOU!!

Hooray for Gramma!

We were able to have Wes's mom come and stay with us last week!!! What a treat it was for us to enjoy her company and have her help! She is such a wonderful lady and we are so grateful for all the service she gives to us. She was so helpful with EVERYTHING! Thanks so much mom!

Paisley enjoyed every second with Gramma. They had sleepovers in their jammies and played in their fort and watched princess movies on the computer. Gramma even tried to get Paisley to go potty on the potty... but we have a stubborn little girl. Maybe next time!!

We look forward to seeing our family again in a few weeks for baby Charlotte's blessing.

OVERwhelmed...

Hey we are still alive over here :) It's funny how you forget what it's like to have a newborn, well... till' you have one again. It's such a beautiful and wonderful experience. I simply feel overwhelmed at the moment, but in a good way. I feel so full of EMOTION!!! My emotions are UP, DOWN , SIDEWAYS, you name it!!! It's something we like to call HORMONES! Blast them. One moment I'm crying because I'm so HAPPY. Then next moment I'm crying because I'm tired, and I have no reason to be sad, but sometimes I cry because I feel sad! HA. At least I know it will all balance out! Right?? Please???!!

We absolutely LOVE and ADORE our sweet little Charlotte. I love her sweet little body and her sweet little sounds. And Paisley is doing so much better than I anticipated. She's such a great helper, and she seems so BIG to me now!! How is it that I could carry her around the whole time I was pregnant with no problem, and now I feel like when I lift her up she is A GIANT!!? Either she's a giant or Charlotte is a PEANUT!!

Also, Paisley OVERWHELMS LITTLE CHARLOTTE WITH SO MUCH LOVE!!!! It melts my heart to see her kiss her baby sister's sweet face. Oh, and she calls her 'SUGAR' and it's the cutest thing ever.

Life as we know it is now changed and I couldn't be more grateful. I feel such a responsibility with my two kids to teach them what's right and be a good mother. AND THAT is a little OVERWHELMING! I have to take it one day at a time. I feel so blessed to have my baby girls. They bring so much happiness to Wes and I.

My mom was able to be here with us for 2 weeks!!!! WOW. It was such a great time with her here. She's such a great help and we ALL love her SO MUCH!!! She gave me a book that is called "someday"... I'VE READ IT OVER AND OVER AND EACH TIME I JUST WEEP :) I LOVE YOU MOM!

WE ARE TRULY GRATEFUL FOR OUR LIFE. IT'S CRAZY RIGHT NOW, BUT THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT SO GREAT!!

Home at last...

After 3 days in the hospital we are finally home. We were so lucky to have been in the BEST hospital ever. Great doctors, nurses... food :) They even had a special room with all the snacks you could want. Paisley called it 'THE STORE'. She made frequent trips to the store to get fruit snacks and teddy grahams. Wes and I joke that our hospital was nicer than any of the hotels in Lincoln. haha.

Anyway we are home and so far so good. We're all a little tired but that's to be expected. Also, a little bit of adjusting is to be expected. I know I'm just going to have to chill out and show patience!!! Both of which are not in my character by the way!

We are so lucky to have my mom "NANA" here with us!!! She makes everything better and we love her so much!

We think she's practically perfect in every way.

Just wanted to introduce you to our little lottie :) We are all doing great and appreciate all of the love and support from friends and family. We feel extremely grateful right now and our hearts are full.

The fourth of JULY... Paisley's new favorite HOLIDAY!! This kid has no fear of anything. I'm just afraid she might love fireworks and explosives a little too much. It was a riot to see her with the sparklers, and she and Wes had fun lighting fireworks. I had fun watching... I don't like to get too close :) We drove downtown to watch the fireworks show from our car... only to find out the big show was cancelled due to the rain earlier that day. But there were still fireworks going off all over the place. We had a great time just the 3 and a half of us ;)

Thirty Eight and a HALF... (not my age, but weeks spent pregnant.) At my appointment today I had my membranes stripped... and with Paisley that put me into labor. Trying not to get my hopes up, but let's be honest... Im SO HOPING IT WORKS!!! So FINGERS CROSSED EVERYONE. please? THANK YOU. I'm ready to go!!!! please believe me! I'm no longer sleeping well, walking well, thinking clearly, treating anyone nice, or comfortable in any way!!! BABY C... PLEASE JOIN US!

Aunt Heidi, Fathers Day, Swimming and Baby!

We have had a lot happening lately... and they're all GOOD things!
We were so lucky to have Wes's sister Heidi in town last week! She was here for a music workshop and we got to see her on her off time :) It was SO much fun watching the bachelorette, so you think you can dance, going out to eat and playing scrabble!! Heidi, we want you to come again sooooon! ps. I wonder whose side of the family Paisley gets her great SMILE from!!!... Just look at HEIDI!!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY !!! This is Wes & Paizers telling stories before we went to church on Sunday... so priceless to me :) Paisley just LOVES her daddy.

& THIS WAS WES'S GIFT FROM PAISLEY... THIS PICTURE BLOWN UP AND PUT IN A FRAME :)

WE went to see toy story 3... what a HIT !! Paisley sat through the whole thing. I couldn't believe it!

Paisley & I have been SWIMMING... or "FWIMMING" as Paisley calls it. She absolutely LOVES the water (and I love going because it makes her sleepy for nap time) We're keeping busy with fwimming lessons too.

AND... this was taken at 36 weeks. Im now 37 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray. I think I'll pack my hospital bags today. I would hate to not be ready!! Paisley came a week early... so who knows! notice the sweat pants... it's about all that fits anymore!!

these words all remind me of SUMMER...

and summer reminds me of my favorite vacation of all time...

My family has been going to California's beaches since I can remember. It is my FAVORITE trip of all time. I was just thinking about it today and got a little sad because this is the first year in I don't know how long, that I won't be going... but it's ok, because baby C will be here. And there's always next year of course... :)

Getting Ready...

Lately I feel large. Very large and tired and crazy and brain dead. I feel like I need a BABYYYYYY SOOOON :) At the end of my pregnancy with Paisley, I remember feeling the same way... so D-O-N-E !! We've been working on getting things ready for the baby. We now have a car seat... so we can at least bring her HOME!!! I was getting paranoid that we didn't have one yet. I like to be prepared for these things... she COULD (and I'm praying she does) come EARLY! Which brings us to the last MONTH of pregnancy!! Hallelujah!

We also have the room done and I'm very excited about it!!! I worked at collecting little things at garage sales here and there, goodwill, hobby lobby, and a few favorite places in AZ when we were there.

My friend Taneil MADE the baby bedding!! She's talented!!I don't think I could thank her enough! It's perfect and more than I could ask for!! And I love the story about our crib. It belonged to my Aunt Julie's girls when they were young... this is going back 20 years!!! She gave us the crib when we had Paisley and I just HAD to have a black crib!!! So Wes, bless his heart, sanded and painted it ! Well, this time around, all I wanted was a WHITE CRIB!! (So what? I love change!) Well, this time Wes let ME prime, paint and sand it!! It's a lot of work. Wes did help a little though :) Then we distressed it together! I LOVE OUR CRIB!! Thanks Aunt Jule.

I love the chandelier above the crib. (thank goodness for 50 percent off at hobby lobby!!) It's so girly and fun. Wes thinks that the color pink threw up in their room, but secretly I know he loves it. He had a great ole time hangin the chandelier. He even dusted each individual crystal ever so delicately. Ok, not so much. But I love him for all his help!!!

Found a changing table at a garage sale and couldn't pass it up. Great deal and we've never had one. I think it will be nice! My favorite is my mirror from goodwill. I just painted it up and I think I love it! baby name HINT.... can you find the hidden letter in this pic...? Can you guess her name?? If you know her name, don't spoil it!!!

Paisley said she could share owl with baby sis... oh Paisley, you're so nice.

Fun outfits to look forward to! One was Paisley's from my cousins wedding and the other Nana picked out!
BIG SIS has been a pretty good helper. Can't you tell she's excited...? forced smile folks. forced smile.

All in a week ...

We started our week by planting some flowers... I know they look a little sad and wilted in this picture, but after Paisley watered them they perked right up!!!! Paisley calls this pot of flowers her GARDEN :) I LOVE flowers. I must get that from my mom. She always has pretty flowers in her yard.

We took Paisley to the Zoo on the perfect day!! We love our Zoo pass because we can go anytime we want. We can go stay for a little while or a LONG while... depending on how Paisley's mood is :) This time she got to ride the PONY!! I love these pictures because she's only holding on with one hand! haha.

I'M LOVING HOW GREEN OUR TREES ARE RIGHT NOW IN BRASKIE :)

AND... the MOST EXCITING thing that happened in our week was that we have a new BABY FRIEND!!! Our good friends Chris, Leah and Kate had their little baby girl this week!!!! They have been such GREAT friends to us and WE LOVE THEM!!! Congratulations on sweet baby Becca :)

Paisley is pretty excited about HAVING HER OWN baby sister that will be coming next month!!!! Yay!!

Lately we can't seem to wipe THIS look off our child's face...

The BULLDOG FACE appears whenever she is being feisty, obviously.
When we tell Paisley it's time for bed... the look appears.
When we ask Paisley not to do something... the look appears
When Paisley takes a toy from an innocent kid... the look appears, and so and so forth.

We just have to remind ourselves that she really IS sweet. Well, sometimes ;)

Paisley's little funnies that were crackin us up this week...

Paisley was saying her night time prayers with us and she finished her prayer by saying "Happily Ever After... Amen".

I asked Paisley how her baby sis was doing, and she looked at me with huge CONCERNED eyes and said... "Mom, her is HUGE!" {as if I didn't already know!}

Paisley was talking to herself in the mirror. I'm in the other room and I hear this
"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... and... uh.... frightened missa' muffet away"

I'm at Hobby Lobby, and Paisley runs away... I call out to her, and she says
"Mom, I'm jus poopin the behind these trees. ok? !!" Ok, great. thanks. good to know Paisley.

I tucked Paisley in to bed last night and she exclaimed
"Mom, you're my best friend." And for me, that's all I need to hear to remind me just why I love being this little girls' mother. It's moments like this that keep me going.

Rainy Day Schedule & OCD

Today was rainy day schedule at our house :) We made it fun by doing play-dough, eating brownies, PLAYING IN THE RAIN and watching worms in a gutter :) I love 2 1/2 year olds!! {i love how green things are here due to the RAIN!!} Check it out !

Last night I went to pick up Paisley's toys after she went to bed and this is how I found her princesses in her doll house!! haha. I thought it was so cute, so I took a picture! She's really in to organizing and making things neat. I don't know where she gets it... ok, maybe I've turned my child into MEEEE!! I think we both have O.C.D. !!

AND... just another incident of O.C.D.

AZ... MOTHER'S DAY... UNKY...& BABY MOMMA

It's been It's been a WHILE since I've blogged. We were having so much fun in Arizona and I never took the time to update ! We did ALOT of swimming and playing OUTSIDE !!! Paisley asked just this morning if we could do the "lip and lide" {slip-and-slide} at Nana's !!

We were also able to be there for Mother's Day. It was wonderful. I feel so blessed to have amazing women in my life!!! I'm so sad that I didn't get a picture with Paisley, my mom, or my mother in law!! Next time! Here are a few pictures I DID get that day... Paisley playing with chalk, making chocolate dipped strawebrries for the grandma's and great grandma's, Paisley and her favorite "Jules", and my mom and Paisley...

My brother Cameron left on his mission !!!! I can't believe how much we ALREADY MISS HIM!!! Paisley calls him "UNKY", and she prays for Unky in the PHILIPPINES EVERY NIGHT :) It's so sweet. I love you bro !

My brother Blake got married last Friday and it was such a GREAT day!!!!! Blake and Julianna looked beautiful and they were SO HAPPY!!!! Everything was so perfect. What a success !!! We're so glad that Wes was able to fly in for a couple days. It was wonderful to see him, and now he's back in Nebraska for finals! Well.... here are a bunch of pictures, and they're out of order but you get the point!!!

Again, what a beautiful day for a BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!!! I just can't say enough about Julianna... we are so glad to have her in our family!!!!!!!

An Eggstra Fun Night...

This weekend our friends put together a little easter egg hunt and potluck ! It was such a great idea and awesome turn out. Everyone enjoyed it. {it was windy, but... it's Nebraska !! }
Oh and I still need to find out who made the cute easter basket cupcakes! {SO darling & yummy}

"March"ing to the madness!

I love flipping to the next page on my calendar for some reason...{i think pregnancy has something to do with it, AND hoping for a month closer to WARMER weather also has something to do with it !} Usually March means SPRING... but sadly, not here :( is it so much to ask to wear flip flops & shorts??? i think not.

Our month has been going quickly... & here's what's been happenin' :

Wes & I celebrated our 1, 2, 3... 4 year anniversary on march 9th ! {i feel a little old!} We had fun going to dinner and a movie ... just the 2 of us! Someone once told me when they found out I was marrying Wes Wright, that I would have such a happy and fun life!! I agreed. Glad to report that 4 years later, it's still true :) Wes does make life fun & happy, that's for sure. :)

Took my "once a month" photo of the belly. {ps. I made Wes take like 85 pictures, and this was the one i looked the least gargantuan in. Trust me, this is a good angle. If the angle is a tad off; WOAH. I look aLOT bigger. !! When you see me from ALL ANGLES in person, then you know just how big I really am. But in pics, lets try to look as small as possible, for as LONG as possible... IF that's possible!!!!

Paisley wanted in on the fun... and I think she looks precious too.
We always read LOTS of books before Paisley goes to bed. She LOVES books... but mostly I think she's STALLING because she never wants to go to bed. She always says... "just ONE more book." this night, she was SO not even ready to go to bed. what a diva. story of my life.

Living far away has it's perks. Like, getting an unexpected package in the mail filled with
LAFFY TAFFY!!!!!!! Now THAT makes my heart S-I-N-G !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laffy taffy has been one of my favorite things since I've been pregnant. {YELLOW is my favorite, just like my father-in-law!} Thanks mom & dad for the WONDERFUL 2 year supply. Now I can say that I have started my food storage!! ha!

Last but not least. I saw this darling fabric and HAD to make a blanket for {baby girl}... I thought it turned out pretty cute... {as long as you don't look TOO TOO close!} Paisley knows it's for her little sister, she just wanted to break it in a bit for her :)

Well, enjoy your MARCH where ever you may be. Even if you're somewhere cold like me :)

last night i could not sleep. this morning i woke up at 5 am, just to wait around for my BIG ULTRA SOUND at my dr. appt. at 10. time was dragging because of how excited we have been for this day!!!! all to find out that our baby was in a position to where the ultra sound tech couldn't tell the gender of our baby. sad :(

So.........finally we got to the doctor's office... i practically RAN from the parking garage up to the 4th floor of the building. i kept telling wes, "honey hurry up!!"

i twiddled my thumbs until they finally called my name...

as we sat in the ultra sound room i felt as though i was beaming with excitement! we waited ...
waited some more...
and waited a little more!!!!! {wes took this while we were waiting.. and this is totally my nervous/anxious smile! } eeeeek :)

the lady put the warm lotion onto my tummy and waved that wand around trying to get a good peek. she was busy measuring the head and looking at the spine and heart... when all of a sudden she just says.... "you're having a girl!!!!!!!!" YESSSSSSS!!!! i think it's the SWEETEST feeling in the world to finally know that there's a little girl in my tummy :) the next best thing is looking at wes and seeing the JOY on his face. HE'S such a great dad and does a great job at making {his} girls happy!! we are SO THRILLED. . . all 3 of us ! paisley already loves our little sis in mommas tummy :) we are so grateful and happy.

Just a little bit about Disneyland...

This last week we ended up taking Paisley to the E. R. (cringe) Not a favorite place of mine to be :( Long story short (kinda) ... they had to do some tests on Paisley; a couple of which are pretty uncomfortable. As a mother it's hard to watch your child being pinned down on the table, SCREAMING for their life, wiggling and moving to try and break FREE!! TERRIBLE FEELING! You would do anything for them and better yet, you would SAY anything in attempt to DISTRACT them. So, as they're "torturing" my wee one, I may have sorta mentioned the word. the "D" WORD. You know, the DISNEYLAND word... I never said I would take her there, I just wanted her to think of something else... and talking about Disneyland sounded like a good idea. OOPS.

WELLLL..... here we are 5 days later, and my child will not STOP TALKING ABOUT DISNEYLAND!!! So we've been watching home videos of our trip to Disneyland , looking at pictures, watching videos on you tube of Disney princesses, and so forth.

The "vaventime fairy" even brought Paisley some sweet treats :) thanks GRANDMA TINA, NANA , & GRANDMA GUNNELL for thinking of Paisley!! She is extremely lucky to have the best grandmas in the WORLD! (the bubbles are such a HIT by the way!! thank you!)

My home is immaculate, my child is well groomed with her hair combed and face washed for when her father arrives from work, my husband's favorite meals are served upon his arrival, a fire is prepared for him to lay back and unwind to, and I even find time to REST for 15 minutes before he walks in the door. Man I am good.

oh and after receiving the good housekeeping article in an email from my dear husband, I showed up inside the law school wearing this...

If Wes was embarrassed that I came inside the school like this, I'm not sorry. Maybe he'll think twice before sending me such BLASPHEMY!!! hee hee :)

I knew there was a reason I wasn't a pioneer or lived during 1955. Don't get me wrong, I do like a clean house and home cooked meals. But being pregnant and tired sometimes we just eat taco bell or cold cereal. Who would complain about that??

OH , and here's me and the wee one at 18 weeks :) ALMOST.... halfway baby!

Last night we started TINY TUMBLERS ! We've been wanting to get Paisley in a class for a while but most classes start at 2 years old... and NOW we are THERE! I wasn't quite sure if Paisley would follow directions and do what the teachers asked, but for the most part she DID. And I was surprised! She LOVED it, and I knew she would! Her little buddy Kate is in the class too and they are so cute together :) Paisley has been doing somersaults all over the house and she climbs and jumps off of EVERYTHING! They got to walk on a little balance beam and jump off mats and jump on the trampoline. They did some stretching and bear crawls too :) I wish the class was longer though because it really wore her out!!

Great News

My family has so much good news!!

we'll start from youngest to oldest...

My little/BIG brother got his mission call while I was in AZ...(ok, I extended my trip once again !!! There's no way I could have missed it!)
He's going to be serving in Bocolod, Philippines. He's so thrilled and so are WEEEEEE!!!! We love him to pieces and KNOW he will do great work there :) "Unky/Fonzi/Cam-man "... YOU ARE A STUD!!!!

The next little/BIG brother, BUBBA is getting MARRIED!!! WE are all so THRILLED to have Jules part of our family too :) She is beautiful and has the greatest LAUGH you'll ever hear! we hope she knows just how much we LOVE her !!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!! pS. their engagement story is so cute :) WE LOVE THEM!

PS. Blake and Julianna get married APRIL 16TH, AND Cameron goes on his mission 5 days later!! Then we have a baby 3 months later :) I think my parents might be a little lonely :) it's OK, you can always come visit NEBRASKA :) HA!

WHAT A FUN YEAR FOR THE FARNWORTH'S!

HAD TO SHARE A PICTURE OF PAISLEY... MY COUSIN ROO REQUESTED ONE... HERE'S FOR ROO :) Paisley got a tea set (aka "pea set") from Gramma Tina for Christmas and we've been having "pea parties" with "pea pots" EVERYDAY!!! I try to teach her to be proper and now I've got her saying things like 'thank you darling', and 'cheers' . She even holds her pinky out straight when she drinks from her "pea cup" !!!! Ps. yes she does actually have hair, but they are slicked back into 2 piggy tails (aka 'piggy pails')

H-E-L-L-O !

We are very excited for this NEW YEAR OF 2010 AND We have an excellent feeling about it ! Today Wes is BACK IN LAW SCHOOL!!..... FINALLY! This is HUGE for us and we are so happy he's able to be BACK with a HEALTHY "BACK" THIS TIME!

We had many GROWING experiences as a family and individually in 2009 ...and now that alot of it is behind us I can actually say that Im grateful for those times. Even as crazy as those times were.

Speaking of GROWING, WE WANTED TO TELL YOU...

JUST HOW HAPPY WE ARE TO BE HAVING A BABY THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am due the 3rd week of July. Im 13 weeks along :)

We are so happy and feel truly blessed !!

Ps. Paizers loves to touch my tummy and say "baby... momma's tummy!" We love her and think she'll be a GREAT big sister !

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We loved being able to spend time with both of our families. We love them so much! Thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable time!! We spent the first half of our trip with the Wright's and now we are spending the remainder of the trip with the Farnsworth's. Thanks for taking us in :) Paisley has LOVED her grandparents and great grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins!

Paisley was hilarious on Christmas. She was so excited to open every single present. We enjoyed watching her more than anything. She is so happy (and so naughty); but that's why we love her SO much!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!!

Today it was snowing and it was beautiful. We watched it snow through our huge living room window. We also watched it snow through the church doors. ( We were late and sat in the foyer ) It was so peaceful. I loved it. However, I will not love it when the roads are super sleek and icy and Im afraid for my life and everyone else's every time I get behind the wheel!! Yikes. Until then, we will enjoy the nice day. I happened to have my camera in our car so I thought I'd capture the moment :)

House full of Turkeys :)

This Thanksgiving was bittersweet. I love Holidays... BUT our family was missed. VERY much missed. :) We were 'volunteered' to do a turkey for the wards' thanksgiving. FIRST time for everything right?! It was really fun makin the turkey and actually having our house smell like, well... Turkey. We were proud of our little bird and how well it turned out :) Too bad we had a small turn out to our ward's Thanksgiving... (hope it's not because they found out who was makin turkey ! ) Nonetheless, we made the best of it and enjoyed the thanksgiving day parade, spending time with friends and looking at the Black friday ads, and standing in line AT FREAKING MIDNIGHT at TOYS R US !!! Now, THAT'S one for the books people.

Today, I was practically at my wits end with Paisley. She really IS great, but today she was extra naughty. But why why WHY, must she say the funniest things to make me laugh while I'm trying to be SERIOUS with her ? ? ?

Here's some things she said today that had me in stitches... (and sometimes I forget how funny something was unless I write it down... ) Hence, this post.

*Today we are at Wal- Mart and Paisley decides to "run amuck" of course. I'm trying to pay the lady and Paisley gets quiet, and she "toots." As if no one heard it, she announced at the top of her lungs "TOOOTED" and then she laughed to herself. ha ha.

*Tonight we are having dinner. I didn't forget that Paisley isn't a fan of BROCCOLI, but Im trying to believe that maybe one day she'll like it. (high hopes, I know.) So she eats the broccoli, makes a nauseous face, spits it out, quickly changes her face to a happy one then looks at me, and says ' I LIKE IT' !

*Today at the gym I was getting my stuff out of the locker and then I put Paisley's jacket on that she had ripped off. I'm not paying attention to the half nude woman beside me, but Paisley noticed her underwear AND reported " PANTIES.... pretty !! ". I had to laugh. Good thing she's so observant, right?

*Paisley sometimes will call you "guy" or "girl" if she doesn't know your name. Today at the gym, in the LADIES locker room, she called a lady "GUY"... uh, oops?! The "guy" was indeed a lady. I just pretended like I didn't hear her and HOPED the guy/lady didn't hear it!

*As I told Paisley it was time to go to bed, she looks me in the eye, get "this" close to my face, points her little finger and says "MINUTES". Once again, I had to laugh. And she won. I gave her more "minutes".

I know I need to be more of a "stickler" a lot of the time. But sometimes, I'm okay with just laughing instead.

Thursday night we went out for a yummy dinner downtown.

Then we headed to stand in line for the.........

And we live in NEBRASKA... so...we uh, FROZE our little behinds OFF !!! It was so much fun playing cards, laughing at the psycho's that surrounded us, snacking, drinkin hot chocolate trying to stay warm, and trying to avoid the news crews that were there(because we're too old and mature for that!! haha)

I just have to add that we LOVED THE MOVIE!!!!!!! IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN I had anticipated. And thank you JACOB for being so ATTRACTIVE. I had no idea I liked you so much until I saw this movie!! That's all I want to say about the movie, otherwise I could just go on and on.

THANKS GIRLS FOR THE AWESOME TIME!!! AND GOOD JOB TRACI ON PARALLEL PARKING DOWNTOWN AND NOT HITTING ANY CARS :) i absolutely could not have done it!

A surprise visit from Aunt Sandy and Andrew...

Aunt Sandy and Andrew paid us a special surprise visit this weekend!!!!!! They came all the way from Jersey! Can you even believe how LUCKY we are!!!! It was a really quick trip, but nothing has ever been MORE worth it!!!! They heard how amazing Granite City (wes's resturaunt) was and made a trip all the way to lincoln NE just to try it!!! WOWWWZAA!!!

can you even believe how different they look without their disguises???!!!???

This was the ULTIMATE SECRET I'VE EVER HAD TO KEEP FROM WES!!!! I knew a month ago that they were coming out to surprise him and I didn't so much as breathe a word!!!!!!

Aren't their disguises FANTASTIC!!! ??? !!!! We made sure that Wes was their waiter for the night. He even bumped in to the girls before they sat down to their table and didn't even RECOGNIZE them !!!!!! Aubrey's character was 'ANDREW' and she/he simply had the hood jacket over the head and an i pod going with headphones, who was texting the whole time. Typical THUG teenager. And with Heidi layin' on her best "jersey" accent and sayin hilarious things like "andrew, put ya damn cell phone down and tell the man what ya want to drink." ---- she had me rollin', and she had WES COMPLETELY SOLD!!!!!!!!hahaha. He even talked to them for a bit when they sat down and took their drink order. It wasnt until after he brought the drinks and they started to order that he started to figure it out!!! It was HILARIOUS. They pulled it off so well!!! It went off without a hitch! it was absolutely PERFECT!!! And it made Wes's entire year!!!!!

how quickly time seems to go. It's Paisley's BIRTHDAY TODAY and she's TWO ! It's crazy, sometimes I feel like I BLINKED and my newborn turned 2 !!! Other days I feel like we've had her and known her for such a long time! MAN, WE LOVE HER!

This year Paisley and her friend Kate had a combined lollipop party for their birthday! (their birthdays are just a few days apart!) It turned out super cute and we had so much fun! It was funny because they knew it was their party and im pretty sure they LIVED IT UP! thanks to all our friends and family for thinking of Paisley's birthday :) WE love you!

Paisley had BIRTHDAY PANCAKES WITH SPRINKLES for Breakfast and then she opened a couple presents. She loved opening the gifts and thought they were great!
We took a couple of birthday pictures and then went to play at McDonalds!! What a day!

Paisley is such a sweet and special, spicy and spunky, perfect for US, little girl!

HALLOWEEN...

This Halloween was so SPOOK-TACULAR ! Paisley had a blast! She's been saying "witches", "ghosts", and "spooky" for weeks now :) IT's been really fun. The highlight this past week was having my MOM here for all of it! We decided to go to the PUMPKIN PATCH on HALLOWEEN morning and we had a great time!

We also carved pumpkins in our jammies. Paisley loved the pumpkin seeds :) She also had her own little tiny pumpkin that was so cute!

We went trick or treating in a nice neighborhood and enjoyed the weather and looking at all the nice houses :) The street reminded me of disneyland!!! IT had that halloween MAGIC :)Paisley and her bff Kate were absolutely"BOOTIFUL" in their costumes; PUNK ROCKER AND A PRINCESS. It was hilarious to watch as they ran up to each door and said "candy" !!! It was the funnest night EVER !! I decided that we're going to go trick or treating every year at this same place; and my mom is going to come out too because she LOVED it that much! (YESSSSS!!!!)

pS. does this house not look like THE HAUNTED MANSION!!!????!!! IT WAS SO COOL :) we had to get a group shot! Matt and Traci are always a hit with Paisley! (matt even carried Paisley's wand the whole night)!

wes had to work that night :( BUT we made up for it by having dessert at his restaurant :) Notice that paisley is COMPLETELY OUT! She was sound asleep in my lap :) This rarely happens. She must have been exhausted from all the partying that night!

Last week we were able to go to Disneyland with Wes's family !!!! We had the TIME of our LIVES, AND are going through serious WITHDRAWALS!!! Disneyland has a special place in our hearts :) Wes proposed to me at Disneyland 4 YEARS AGO and made me the happiest girl on earth- - Now, we find JOY in taking our daughter to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH :)

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO PAPA JIM AND GRANDMA TINA AND THE FAMILY! WE LOVE YOU GUYS AND HAD THE BEST TIME WITH YOU!!!
